I believe that growth for the Republican Party comprises of two things: first, the invaluable message of small government, liberty, freedom, and the preservation of the American Dream that resonates with the masses; and second, the engagement of individuals outside the party to build relationships that brings that message to life. That is why groups like the Texas Asian Republican Assembly are so important. We are right on the messaging, now it is time to build relationships and bring that message to life.

Traditional Asian beliefs and values are very similar to the conservative platform: we are family oriented, many participate in America’s free market economy as small business owners, and we believe in a limited role of government that protects our rights but does not overstep our freedoms. Hence, we are conservative at heart and we may not know it. I joined TARA to bring this knowledge to light, and to help unify people of Asian descent to participate in America’s political conversation.
